Church Partnerships

We are delighted to establish partnerships with specific churches through which we help you to use Damaris resources to build the ministry of your church - and you help us to build our resources and make them more available to others.

We welcome into partnership any local church that is part of a recognised Christian denomination and is in sympathy with our approach and beliefs. To apply, simply download our application form and send it to us, together with a covering letter on your church headed paper. To discuss church partnerships with us please contact us and talk to Katie Coles (our partnership development co-ordinator).

Church Partnership Agreement

We give partner churches:

  1. 25% discount on all Damaris products. We supply an electronic code voucher for the online shop that will automatically deduct 25% from any order - for use by any member of the church.
    Note: The church is expected to take reasonable steps to avoid advertising this outside the church membership (e.g. not putting this voucher on open pages of the church website).

  2. Up to 10 FREE subscriptions to Tools For Talks for any speaker or leader (such as pastor, youth leader, home group leader, etc.) within the church, to run concurrently with every one bought by any other member of the church at full price (less the 25% discount you receive on all product, of course). We supply a simple form for giving us the Damaris Usernames of those leaders of the church who would like the free access to Tools For Talks. We then give their usernames access to the site - with an expiry date the same as the purchased one.

  3. The right to republish any four articles (or study guides) from Culturewatch on any free publication such as the church magazine or website. The specific four that are republished may be changed at any time, but at any point there must be no more than four republished on any publication or website. Publication must feature the Damaris Partnership graphic, the Culturewatch logo (both available from here) and the author's name and copyright attribution. Churches are requested to help us by providing a list, every quarter, of the articles or study guides they have republished, and any responses they have had to them from within the church or outside it.

  4. Special arrangement for provision of speakers. Ideally we would like to supply a Damaris speaker to each partner church once a year but that depends upon availability. Partner Churches do not pay the usual speaker's fee but have a special gift-style arrangement - see www.damaris.org/speakers for details.

  5. One free arrangement and first tutorial (each year) for sabbaticals and study breaks for you to use for any one member of the church leadership (this includes pastors, youth leaders, home group leaders - anyone with a leadership role in the church whose ministry in the church would benefit from studying with us).

  6. 50% discount on any subscription packs for school resources (currently Assemblies Online and RE Lessons Online) that are to be given by the church as a gift to local schools. Use the request form to order the subscriptions and to let us know which schools you want to give these to. Send this together with a cheque and we will then send you the subscription packs required.

Partner churches give us:

  1. Consideration for Mission Giving. Partner churches agree to prayerfully consider the opportunity to use some of the church’s mission giving to support projects through which Damaris is developing and providing resources to others. Some of these opportunities are openly published on our website. However, others are only privately communicated to Damaris supporters. To facilitate this we will send information three times a year to the person in the church who leads the decision-making on the church's mission giving. There is no specified amount or frequency of giving; all that we ask is that you prayerfully consider the opportunities we will send to you.

  2. Help with local promotion. As appropriate, we ask partner churches to help us to inform local people about Damaris resources. Again there is no specified amount of help, it all depends upon circumstances. You may, for example, simply pass on some literature at a minister's fraternal or meeting of local youth leaders - or you may offer to host an event for local teachers, or parents.

  3. Help with promotion on the web.  By placing our Damaris Partnership graphic (available here) on your website (if you have one) and linking it to ours, you will help us to make Damaris known to more people.
