Talking About DVDs

Talking About is a film resource for Christian communicators published on DVD by Damaris.tv.

Each DVD is packed with short films (about 4 minutes each) that fuse images, music, discussion and words from the Bible - all related to the theme of the DVD - such as Prayer or Forgiveness. Each film serves as the perfect introduction to a sermon, small group or one-to-one discussion. They are designed to introduce themes and lead into more in-depth discussion, rather than to replace sermons or talks. The accompanying leaders' guides make them ideal for use in small groups.  

 

COMING SOON: Smartphone app based on Talking About Jesus

This app will be ideal to help Christians talk to their friends and colleagues about Jesus.

Includes 18 short videos about the life, death and teaching of Jesus, featuring insightful speakers such as Philip Yancey, Anna Robbins and Krish Kandiah; plus a 28-day personal reading guide through Luke’s Gospel and a leader’s guide for using the app in small group discussions.

DVD giving insight into forgiveness from leading Christian thinkers and writers

Talking About Forgiveness provides 21 short films that are ideal as talk starters for churches and small groups, looking at the questions "What is forgiveness?" "Why should I forgive?" and "How do I forgive?"

Each short film contains the wisdom and insight of leading Christian speakers and writers, including Timothy Dudley-Smith,  Rachel Gardner, Greg Haslam, Tim Keller, Norman Kember, Tricia Kenyon, J. Rees Larcombe, Alister E. McGrath, Jayne Newton, Robin Oake, Rob Parsons, Nick Pollard and Jill Saward.  They are designed to help the viewer to think (and talk!) about the issues for themselves.

DVD looking at Jesus with insight from leading Christian thinkers and writers

Talking About Jesus provides 18 short films (about 4 minutes each) on topics about Jesus such as his incarnation, miracles, teaching, attitudes, death and resurrection - looking at what each of these are and asking "what does this mean?" and "what does this mean for me?".

Contributors include: Gary Habermas, Philip Yancey, Anna Robbins, Canon Andrew White, Margaret Killingray and Krish Kandiah.

Talking About Prayer provides 20 short films (about 4 minutes each) on topics such as "What happens when we pray?", "Why should we pray?" and "How do I pray?".
