Introduction

Culturewatch Groups are for people who want to think about big issues in films, books, music and television, particluarly in terms of how it relates to Christian faith.

They are small groups that meet every few weeks to chat about recent films, books, music, television, theatre or whatever. They provide an opportunity to explore the message behind the media with other people in a fun, friendly atmosphere. They're like reading groups but with a few key differences:

  • Culturewatch Groups don't have to restrict themselves to books

  • Culturewatch Groups are about exploring the message behind the media, digging under the surface to think about the underlying beliefs, values and attitudes

  • In particular, Culturewatch Groups reflect on how their subject matter relates to a Christian worldview: sometimes the two will agree and sometimes they won't
