In this section: Introduction |
What happens in a Culturewatch Group?Members of Culturewatch Groups read the book, watch the film, listen to the music or whatever, beforehand and then come together to discuss it. Since most people lead busy lives, most Culturewatch Groups only meet every few weeks. This prevents it becoming a burden and gives people time to watch the film or read the book beforehand. Each Culturewatch Group decides for itself what to study. On the Culturewatch website are many study guides which are written primarily to be a resource for groups to use. Some groups download Culturewatch.tv or Pollard on Film podcasts (high resolution videos are available from Tools For Talks) to use as discussion starters. Groups also find that Culturewatch articles give them valuable help in identifying what to look at. And of course, group members have many ideas of their own. Members of groups sometimes use the discussion as the basis of an article for the Culturewatch website. | |
