Refund Policy

Damaris Returns Policy

At Damaris we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items, so below is our returns policy…

Defective items:
You can return items if they are defective. Please note: we only accept returns of items that have been opened if they are defective. Please see 'To return an item' below for details of how to return defective items to us.

Delivery charges:
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you.

Donations:
We are not able to refund any donations, even those made at the same time as placing an order which is subsequently returned.

To return an item:
To return an item, please enclose a note giving the reason for the return, wrap the package securely and send the package to the address below. In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault and return the defective item in its original box (if any), with all warranty cards, licences, manuals and accessories. Then send the package to the address below:

For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancelling an item:
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, consumers have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of goods (within seven working days of delivery - provided they are then returned to us in their unopened form) and services (within seven working days of purchase - provided the service has not started).

Please note that:
- this law defines a consumer as 'any natural person who is acting for purposes outside his/her business' - so the right to cancel does not apply to schools, organisations, churches or any individual purchasing for their business purposes
- in addition to all our hard products (such as books and CDs) this right to cancel applies to subscriptions which have been purchased as subscription packs or certificates (which contain a unique serial number giving access to the subscription site) - provided the serial number has not been used (ie access to the website has not yet been made available)
- however, this does not apply to website subscriptions for which access has been made available (this happens automatically when a subscription is purchased online by credit or debit card) - since, under the terms of the law, the service has already started
- this does not apply to donations in any circumstances

Remember: we cannot accept cancellation for any product which has been opened or any service which has begun.

To cancel this contract, please write a letter giving the reason for the return as 'Contract cancellation' and send it to us with the delivery slip so that we receive it within seven working days of the date that the item was delivered to you. Please package the relevant item securely and send it with the cancellation letter or as soon as possible afterwards. The return address is:

For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for postage and packing. As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item.

By using this web site you accept this policy and are aware that changes may be made to this policy from time to time. Any changes to this policy will appear on this web page.

Changing information
Each purchaser has the right of access to all personal information submitted through this website by them. If any information changes after the date of submission it is the responsibility of the visitor to inform Damaris of those changes.
