EASTER

This series contains four episodes that take you through the Easter narratives. We focus on four different points in the story, described by the Gospel writers. From Peter’s denial, the trial before the Sandhedrin and the crucifixion, we finish up with one of the appearances of Jesus to the disciples. (These episodes are available for use in various different settings.)

The fall and restoration of Simon Peter

In this episode, we follow Simon Peter from denial to rehabilitation on the shores of Lake Galilee. The episode invites you to travel with him not just through the pit of despair, but also to the moment when Jesus explains the meaning of true restoration. It's a story with tremendous power. We're reading from Luke's and John's gospels.

Who do you think you are?!

In this episode, we take a look at a key moment during the trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin. He is asked if he is the Messiah, and his answer, quoting from Daniel 7, enrages the crowd. We explain why. In the second half, we take a look at Jesus' suffering and what it teaches us about our own suffering. We're reading from Matthew 26:57-68.

I'm Thirsty

This episode is a meditation on Christ's suffering on the cross, based on his words "I'm Thirsty" uttered just before he gives up his spirit. We're reading from John 19:28-30.

Broiled fish, anyone?

In this last of our Easter episodes, we meet Jesus as he appears to his disciples during dinner. We take a look at the connection between bodily resurrection and salvation. We're reading from Luke 24:36-43.
