James 1 - 5

Series descriptionThis series expires on 31/12/13

If we assume that the author of James in the Bible is the brother of Jesus, then he has quite a history. We're told that he and his family rejected Jesus and called him, well, insane! How do you come back from that?! But when James sees the resurrected Christ, his life is turned completely upside down. He is a changed man, full of fervour for following his brother.

When you read James, it is a letter that is packed not with deep theology, but with practical advice. James, much like his brother, wants disciples to live lives of integrity. So, his letter is intensely practical. It's also extremely hard-hitting. When he's upset with a group within the church, he lets them know. For us today, James is a book that provides challenge after challenge. If you're ready to take a long hard look at your own life, then this series is for you. Put on your seat-belt and hold on!
