Suggestion for use
- Show the first part of the programme - then freeze frame on the question "Where romantic, passionate love is concerned can we believe in happy endings?"
- Invite people to share their answers with one another
- Invite feedback, and discuss what our answers tell us about:
- our view of love - what does it mean to be in love?
- our view of the future - can good things last forever?
- our view of happiness - what constitutes a happy life?
- Show the rest of the programme
- Deliver a short talk lifting off from the suggestion to look at Jesus' words in Mark 10:7-8 - illustrating with contemporary quotes about marriage, relationships and commitment (NB
these links into the large collection of relevant Bible references and
contemporary quotes are free to anyone with a subscription to Tools for
Talks - non-subscribers can obtain immediate access with a 1 year or 30 day subscription).
