 Suggestion for use

  1. Show the first part of the programme, then freeze frame on the question 'Do you think that putting relationships first transforms everything?'
  2. Invite people to share their answers with one another
  3. Invite feedback and discuss what our answers tell us about:
    • Our view of ourselves: To what extent are we defined by our relationships? In what ways are we dependant on others?
    • Our view of relationships: How much do we value our relationships? Which communities would you consider yourself a part of?
    • Our view of obstacles: How do we usually approach problems in our lives? How can our relationships help us overcome problems?
  4. Show the rest of the programme
  5. Deliver a short talk lifting off from the suggestion to look at the stories of Moses and Gideon. You could look at Exodus 4:10-17 and Judges 6:15-24 and think about the impact their relationships had on the daunting tasks God placed before them.
