 Suggestion for use

  1. Show the first part of the programme - then freeze frame on the question 'What is true friendship?'
  2. Invite people to share their answers with one another.
  3. Invite feedback and discuss what our answers tell us about:
    1. Our view of Facebook - What are its benefits and drawbacks? How has it impacted our concept of friendship?
    2. Our view of love - How is love expressed in friendship? How can we know whether or not a friendship is genuine?
    3. Our view of community - What constitutes a community? What characterises the best communities?
  4. Show the rest of the programme
  5. Deliver ashort talk lifting off from the suggestion to look at biblical ideas of community, friendship and betrayal. You could look at John 15:9-17, 1 Peter 2:9-10 or 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 and think about the characteristics of a Christ-centred community.
