Key Stage 4
We are very happy to provide the President for a Day Experience
for high-ability students from school years 10 or 11 (such as Gifted
and Talented). Our experience of doing these conferences in the past has
led us to recommend the following for these conferences:
-
The conference should run for no more than 2½ hours
-
We recommend a maximum of 100 students - if students are especially bright and well-disciplined, then 150 students is possible
-
We
highly recommend seating the students in groups around tables, with a
teacher or sixth-former on each table acting as a facilitator for the
group.
These recommendations are the result of doing many conferences for Key Stage 4 students. We have found that students of this age cope much better with shorter conferences and in smaller groups and this enables them to get the most out of the President for a Day Experience. |
The President for a Day Experience
is provided in partnership with various organisations who provide
students with opportunities to follow up the conference in a variety of
ways - for information click here.
