Terms and Conditions for School and College Conferences

  1. Once Damaris has received the signed confirmation of booking form from the organiser then this is considered a firm booking.
  2. In the unlikely event that the specified presenters become unavailable, Damaris reserves the right to use alternative presenters - but will not change the agreed conference fee.
  3. In the unlikely event that the presenter is ill on the day of the conference, he or she will inform the school directly that the conference will have to be postponed. In this event we will arrange an alternative date for the conference as soon as possible, and give a discount of 15%.
  4. In the event of cancellation by the school/organiser 14 days or more before the conference date, Damaris will charge an administration fee of £50; if cancellation by the school/organiser occurs within 14 days of the conference date then 60% of the full fee will be payable.

  6. The school/organiser recognises that it is their responsibility to maintain discipline throughout the conference.  The presenter will do what he/she can to encourage attentiveness and respectful behaviour, but has no authority to impose any discipline and therefore relies for this upon the school/organiser. 

 

Terms and conditions for 3 conferences booked in one academic year at special rate

  1. The school agrees to pay the full fee of £1,500 (charged as £595 for each of the first two conferences and £310 for the third). This fee is subject to all three conferences taking place within one academic year; if the school cancels one or more conferences, the remaining conferences will be charged at the full normal rate of £595 each.
  2. Once Damaris has received this signed booking form from the organiser then this is considered a firm booking.
