Downloadable Clips from Feature Films

In partnership with major film distributors we are providing an increasing number of downloadable clips from feature films that are currently in the cinemas or just released on DVD. For each clip we provide associated resources such as background information on the film and suggestions for use of the clip in church services or other meetings. Sometimes the downloadable clips and associated resources are available free to anyone, sometimes they will be free only to those who subscribe to Tools for Talks. Here are a few examples...


Morning Glory is a romantic comedy about the career and love-life of television producer Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams). Desperate for a job, Becky takes on the challenge of resuscitating the nation's worst morning show, Daybreak. She hires renowned news anchor Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford), relying on his presence to boost ratings. However, this forces her to contend with Mike's snobbery and his increasingly irritated co-host, Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton).

The King's Speech is a British historical drama in which Bertie (Colin Firth) is forced to assume the throne as King George VI after the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII (Guy Pearce). Mindful of her husband's speech impediment and the country's need for strong leadership, Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter) employs speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush). Logue's unconventional therapy transforms Bertie from a stammering man to an inspiring king.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader follows Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace Scrubb (Will Poulter), as they join King Caspian (Ben Barnes) in a series of challenging quests onboard the Dawn Treader ship.

Eat Pray Love is the film adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's bestselling memoir. Funded by a book advance, Liz Gilbert (Julia Roberts) decides to go abroad in search of inner peace. She spends a whole year travelling: she goes to Rome to pursue pleasure, to an Indian ashram to pursue devotion and to Bali to pursue a balance between the two.

The Last Airbender tells of a world divided according to the elements its people can manipulate. The Fire Nation have annihilated the Air Nomads and have enslaved the Earth Kingdom and Water Tribes. Aang - now the last Air Nomad - seeks to subdue the Fire Nation and restore peace.

My Sister's Keeper is about Anna Fitzgerald (Abigail Breslin) who was brought into the world to be a genetic match for her older sister, Kate (Sofia Vassilieva). It is based on a book of the same title by Jodi Picoult.
