Concept: Motives, grace, acceptance
This video could be used to start a discussion about what motivates us when we try to influence other people. Do we genuinely have their best interests at heart? Or are we looking for what we can get out of them, even when it seems like we're being kind? Do we ever try to compensate for our own weaknesses and insecurities through the way we treat others? How can we go about honestly examining ourselves to know what our motives really are?
Alternatively, you could talk about why God is motivated to show kindness to us. What exactly is 'grace', and what does it cost? How does Leigh Anne's treatment of Michael reflect the character of God? How can we accept God's grace, and how should we be changed by it?
